DAY 1: FOUM ZGUID TO LAKE IRIKI DESERT We will pick you up at the time that suits you from your Riad, hotel or camping site with our 4x4. If you are just coming to Foum Zguid and you have a small car, no worries, we have a safe place to park your car. We will start our desert tour in the direction to lake Iriki desert. To reach Bivouac les Nomades we will have to drive 67 km of piste, almost two hours of driving through the Moroccan Sahara.

The next morning after breakfast we will visit the nomadic school to see how the nomad children go to school and to have more explanation with the school teacher about life of the nomads kids. We will also visit the small village of sidi abd enbi and the old ksar; which is an old construction where our old grand parents were living. Then we will take the road back to foum zguid.

After enjoying the sun rise at the big dunes of erg Chegaga desert and after having traditional breakfast your driver and guide will be ready to start your second day of your desert tour. You will enjoy driving in the sand in the middle of the dunes of Lake Iriki. You will also visit the nomadic school on your way back to Foum Zguid. After visiting the nomadic school we will have a cup of tea with the nomads of lake iriki at the terrace of titanic restaurant in the middle of lake iriki.

If you do not have a lot of time to explore the desert, doesn´t mean you can not have a real desert experience! We will show you the sand dunes and the remarkable landscape of lake Iriki. Of course you will be escorted by camels. Your trip will start in the early morning in Foum Zguid and you will be back the same evening mit a lot of unforgettable memories!

We created the tours with medium level for everybody who wants to go a bit deeper to the desert. You need a normal fitness level and it would be great if you already have experience in hiking and trekking. No special equipment needed. Bring comfortable clothes for different layers - the night and at the morning it can be quite chilly in the desert and a good and solid pair of shoes that you can walk in comfortable. The distances we walk can we a bit longer and the terrain a little bit uneven. I

Tours that not everybody can do. We are walking far distances, straight to the sand dunes, crossing the whole lake Iriki and hiking and clinking in the mountains. You need a very good fitness level and experience in walking far distances with a heavy backpack that carries your personal belongings.
